winner-best-kids-food-blogThe Munch Awards were designed to raise awareness of the “goodies” and the “baddies” of the kids food industry.

Last week we looked at in more detail at the Best Kids Food Product award category. This week we are examining the Best Kids Food Blog category. This award was won by Homegrown Kitchen, by Nicola Galloway, which is a blog where Nicola, chef, nutrition consultant and author of Feeding Little Tummies, shares simple family recipes.

But what about the other Kid’s Food Blogs out there? Well there were a stack of nominees.

Let’s have a look at a few of the other nominees for the Best kids food blog at the 2013 Munch Awards:

World famous in New Zealand blogs like My Darling Lemon Thyme and the The Kitchen Maid need no introduction. And regular followers of Munch will probably be familiar already with Freddie’s Food and On the Monkey Trail. Their authors have both been regular contributors to the Munch.

The blog Tall, Short, Tiny & a Pickle is about family life with extra bits thrown in, including loads of recipes. I couldnt go past this one – Anzac Caramel Slice. Mmmm….

The blog Delissimon is written by Mon, who is a wife, mother to 3 children, baker, photographer, lover of chocolate and  partial to a good wine. She was once on a reality tv baking show. One of the voters described Delissimon as “all round fabulousness”, very high praise indeed.

The title to this blog got me curious: The Allergy Kid. Obviously when it comes to cooking for a family everything is so much harder with allergies

At Happy Little Kiwi you can enjoy recipes on how to make sushi and Lots of recipes to try out and cupcakes (lots of cupcakes!) DIY projects ideas, fun crafts for kids and snippets of our life in New Zealand.

We hope you click on some of the ones above and enjoy the read of the Best Kids Food Blog and others.
