Here is an easy baby food with eggs recipe.  Like all our purees, they are easy and tasty for your little ones. This recipe is aimed at babies that are 7 months or older.

Baby food with eggs recipe

This may sound like an odd combination but the pumpkin seems to make the egg more of a tolerable texture for baby’s first experience of it. Pumpkin and butternut squash are a great base for quite a lot of purees. A great tip it is to roast a quarter or half of pumpkin, and then freeze it into portions for easy use.

Eggs are another super food so our Baby food with eggs recipe is a must for your baby (on the basis they don’t have an egg allergy). According to I love eggs NZ:

“They are an important source of high quality protein and may also aid weight management by helping people to feel fuller for longer. As a completely natural food, their nutrition credentials are pretty much unparalleled.”

Experts suggest that eggs are a good weaning food for babies as they contain vitamins A and D, phosphorus and omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for healthy growth and development.

Eggs could help in the fight against the obesity epidemic as emerging evidence suggests they can help you feel fuller for longer, which could be a natural way to aid people in weight control.

This could be served with our new baby food dispensing spoon.

Baby food with eggs - 7 month plus baby
  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 2 florets of steamed broccoli
  • 2-3 tbsps roast pumpkin
  1. Mash the egg and broccoli into the roasted pumpkin.
You can always double the mixture and then freeze some in small containers to use later. I often did this as it is really useful on days where things are just not going your way and you need a quick meal fast.
