When I received my monthly surprise package from My Care Pack I was really quite excited. Knowing that I was getting a unknown package of treats (again) is really very exciting I must say. This month’s January Fresh Beginnings My Care Pack was packed with wonderful goodies.

In my post last month on my December My Care Pack festive package I outlined how their cool little service works.

The My Care Pack idea is a simple one. Every month Care Pack will deliver a creatively themed pack of goodness, which feature fabulous natural food, beauty, health and lifestyle related care products made in New Zealand. It only costs a small fee of $34.99 per month.

Oh, and if you want to buy more of any of the products in the box, you can do it on the My Care Pack  site.

The January Fresh Beginnings My Care Pack?

Last month I received the Christmas Care pack and it included a selection of wonderful goodies, this month it’s all about new beginnings.

It was laden with goodies to start of a new year. I had not seen or bought any of these products before.

The thing that stood out the most for me first were four bio pots from Mercury Pots. These are awesome. I had not seen these before. They are made with reconstituted bamboo fibre and are even compostable and are completely biodegradable. A perfect eco-friendly alternative to plastic.

What better to go with these pots than a packet of the new Annabel Langbein Delicious Gardens seed packs from Tui Garden. I received the Micro Green Goodness pack containing four seed packs – cress, beet, radish and rocket. I think these are such a great idea.

After all that gardening I was in need of a refreshment. Luckily there were two options in the box. I quickly guzzled the delicious Reviver Juice from Elliotts. These guys are a family owned, boutique juice business, producing 100% natural Kiwifruit blends. They have very cool design and packaging too.

There was also a pack of Strawberry Fruit Powder by Nutrafresh. The pack suggested usint this in baking and smoothies, but I was very excited about using this stuff to flavour icing instead of food colouring! Essentially these fruit powders are made from 100 % fruit puree with no added preservatives, colours or flavours. Apparently the way they are made also retains the nutrient value quite well too.

The final treat in the box is one that every mum will love! A face mist from Nellie Tier. It is lovely, lovely stuff. You can apply these lovely mists to your face morning and night. A lovely way to end a fresh beginnings day.

The Care Pack Mission

The Care Pack Mission is quite simple: to search out products that are safer, healthier and better for you, families and the environment. To then deliver them straight to your door taking the time, cost and stress out of living well. They are keen to promote New Zealand made and therefore the majority of their products are made by Kiwis.

I am looking forward to next month’s package already.
