I am not a cheese expert. I don’t like blue cheeses and would be happy eating edam. I do like savoury tasty types and love brie and camembert.
My husband on the other hand loves cheeses. He could easily spend $50 in a specialty cheese shop on special occasions. He particularly likes smelly ones that have
matured been left to rot in caves. Given his passion and expert-cheese in this area I got him to help me road test Moondarra Club Classic Cheddar.
Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard, pale-yellow-to-off-white cheese that is sometimes “sharp”. The cheddar originated in the English village of Cheddar which is in Sommerset. Cheddars are now produced throughout the world.
Cheddar is the most popular type of cheese in the UK, accounting for 51 percent of the country’s £1.9 billion annual cheese market. It is also the second-most-popular cheese in the USA (first place goes to mozzarella).
