Getting into these colder month’s can sometimes be a real drag but it’s the time to try new recipes with our new Healthy Birdseed Bar. You never know what to make the kid’s because for some reason kids seem to think they can survive of ice blocks all year round. But let’s be real they need something substantial and filling to get them through the days. This is my mums best nut bar recipe, which the kids actually love to eat. When ever we come into these colder month’s I will alway’s use this recipe to transition the kids. As much as I would love to keep giving the kids my super delicious home made ice blocks I make with my Munch Ice Pops it’s not warming them up. Hence where this recipe is a god send. I will mention that our Munch Ice Pop’s are super versatile and perfect for freezing stock for those warm winter soups so don’t worry they can be used all year round.

Healthy Birdseed Bar

A super healthy and delicious Birdseed Bar the whole family will love.
  • 1c sesame seeds
  • 1c sunflower seeds
  • 1c coconut
  • 1c chopped nuts
  • 1c sultanas
  • 100g butter
  • ¼ c honey
  • ½ c brown sugar
  1. Heat seasame seeds then sunflower seeds, then coconut and then chopped nuts in a large pan Brown evenly.
  2. Then put in large bowl with sultanas.
  3. Put butter honey sugar into the pan and heat until sugar disolves and it forms a toffee like mixture.
  4. Stir all ingredients and press into a tray to set.
